Caller Evie Ladin is back to call our Solstice Square Dance! This is the darkest time of year: wear gold or yellow to the dance to encourage the sun to return! Come on out for a community square dance. No experience necessary; no partner necessary. Kids welcome. The caller teaches each dance right before we dance it.

Doors open: 7:45 pm
Square dancing: 8:00-10:00 pm

This is a queer-friendly event where everyone can dance any role. The caller uses gender-neutral terms to refer to the two dance roles in the couple.

BYOB: You may bring beer and wine. No hard alcohol allowed.

Wear dance shoes if you have them! No stiletto heels allowed.

$20 general admission (recommended)
$15 member of Hillside Club or of BACDS
$25 supporter
$6 student or low-income
or pay what you can
We accept cash and venmo at the door.

This is a traditional or old-time square dance (not a modern or club dance). All dancers are welcome.

Please bring your water bottles!
