Family Day Hiking - Kains Woods

We are all kind of like family so let's spend family day together hiking in the woods. 😀
Kains Woods. This trail is all in the woods and is probably my favorite within the city. If you have hiking poles you should bring them. And it might be a good idea to bring cleats if you have them. I want to do the full 10K. It will probably take roughly 3 hours so be prepared for that. Maybe bring a snack and make sure you are dressed in layers with really good boots.

Let's meet at the corner of Westdell Bourne Road and Kains Road. There's lots of parking on the side of the road of Westdel Bourne road.

Kains Woods is an Environmentally Significant Area (ESA) along the Thames River, some challenging sections and beautiful views.

The hikes will start exactly at 1pm. In the nice weather I didn't mind giving people a 10-minute leeway but it's too cold now for the rest of us to be standing outside waiting for everybody to show up. So PLEASE arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the hike so we can do introductions and talk about a few safety tips. It's a good practice to Google the location the day before so you know how long it's going to take you to get there.
