Hike Yarra Bend to Molly Rose Brewing

Details

Whoop! Restrictions are lifted, bars are opening again, and we're back - ready to hit up the urban trails and keep supporting Melbourne's small booze and food establishments!

I'm so excited to be visiting our friends at Molly Rose Brewing; an independent brewery and cellar that celebrates Collingwood's long history of making wonderful things to drink.

Our hike will start at Westgarth Train Station, and we'll head south into Oldis Gardens and the top end of Yarra Bend Park. We'll hike 10 kms (ish) through some of the best native bushland in Melbourne, visit the Grey-headed Flying Foxes and wind our way down past Studley Park Boathouse to the Merri Creek and Dights Falls, where we'll track west to our destination.

Once we arrive at the brewery, we'll enjoy some yummy toasties and a pot of Nic's pro-level home brew and put our feet up.

To get home, you'll have easy access to the 86 tram (which is an experience in its own right), or you might like to continue exploring these hip inner burbs well into the evening!

Charge covers:
• a pot of 'home brew' beer (a choice of 3 of their latest creations)
• a toasted sanga - call it a late lunch or arvo tea - whatever works for you
• mildly entertaining and very competent walking guide
• insurance and all that boring but important stuff

Please bring:
• water bottle, woolies, rain gear
• good comfortable walking shoes
• cash or card for purchases
• Myki card for transport home
• personal medications (if required)
• PPE (please feel free to bring a mask and hand sanitiser)
