Soak at Bonneville Hot Springs
Details
We had such a successful event last year cleaning up a few hot spring forest campgrounds that we thought that we could plan another one. As you may know, the Forest Service does not maintain the campgrounds during the winter season.
We are thinking quick stops at Garden Valley's Campground Hot Springs (~1 hour) and Pine Flat Hot Springs (+20 minutes) before arriving at Bonneville Hot Springs (+40 minutes), 19 miles east of Lohman, to do a short (<1 mile), flat hike in and then enjoy a soak. Because of the lack of snow, we are thinking that just snow boots or ice traction/crampons/spikes will be enough.
Organizers will bring toilet paper, trash bags, and wheel barrow. Please bring your own work gloves.
Carpooling is available from Winco, Eagle; meet at 9:30 am.
