Tour of Meriweather Cider Company Tap Room--Brewing, Aging, Bottling
Details
The owners of Meriwether Cider Company in Garden City have graciously offered to host us for a behind-the-scenes tour of their hard cider production facility that includes brew kettles, aging, and bottling activities. We will then finish the tour in the taproom so that we can sample flights, enjoy happy hour (4 pm - 6 pm), or purchase some beverages to go.
This family-owned and operated business was established in 2015 and then expanded to its downtown Cider House Boise location in 2018. They now ferment 5500 gallons of apple cider at a time in 3 60-barrel kettles before hand-bottling and hand-labeling onsite.
Products include traditional apple-only ciders, fruit cider, barrel-aged cider, spiced cider, hopped cider, botanical ciders, and non-alcoholic ciders, so something for everyone!
The family also gives back to the local community with their charitable contributions.
