Midnight Poetry

Details
Join us for midnight poetry by the Old Ellicott City Clock Site on Friday night at midnight. Come and present or just listen.
We will take turns presenting to the group, with a little break between poems for commentary/discussion. Feel free to come prepared with as many or as few pieces as you like. Anything you wish to present should generally be under 5 minutes long so we can get through many different works in one night, but there are no hard rules as long as everyone's respectful of the other presenters in the group. If your poems are very short feel free to recite a few at once. Otherwise, we'll go in rounds and you'll have another turn to present later.
I encourage anyone, whether your presenting or not, to join in discussion between poems. What did it make you think of? What truths did it express to you? What did you like about it? I'm a big believer that poetry shouldn't just be listened to passively but engaged with, and there's nothing more flattering to a poet than having their work spark a great discussion.
Please try to RSVP in advance if you plan on going as this helps me get a sense of how big a group we'll have.
