I didn’t want to go to college after high school, so instead I rode my bike around the world. I first did a Rovers presentation of Cycling the World in 1999 with slides in a Kodak Carousel projector, and again about 8 years later. From 2009-2011 I was reCycling the World with Julie Retka. Since then, I’ve digitized my slides, and over the last few years listened to all 21 hours of tapes I made of David’s Log for the first time since I recorded them. Little did I know that I was speaking to my older self.
