Walk Through Cumberland Park and Cain Park Followed by Lunch at a Local Restaurant

WHEN: Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 10:30 a.m.

WHAT: The fall weather is holding and should be conducive for a Sunday morning walk. The trees and leaves in Cleveland Heights are beautiful this time of year. We will meet in front of the Cleveland Heights Recreation Center in case anyone has to use the bathroom, then we will walk through Cumberland Park and then through Cain Park. Because the ADA improvements on the sledding hill won’t be complete until after November 2025, we will see what that part of the park looks like now.

WHERE: The walk will start at the Cleveland Heights Recreation Center located at 1 Monticello Boulevard at the intersection of Mayfield and Monticello roads. We will be meeting at the very front outside. We will then proceed to Cumberland Park and walk to Cain Park. Both parks have all-purpose trails. When we get to Cain Park, we will do lots of exploring since the park has changed quite a bit since the ADA improvements were implemented. Once we have explored Cain Park, we will walk back through Cumberland Park but we will take an alternate route.
