Hi, I’m Christoph — a passionate software engineer with 15 years of experience. I’m not only interested in tech itself, but in building solutions that deliver value. I care about listening closely to the domain, learning continuously, and helping others grow. Outside of engineering, you’ll usually find me on two wheels — with or without an engine. Motorcycling and cycling are my favourite ways to unwind.

🗣️ Turning PostgreSQL into an Event Store with Marten

What if your relational database could speak the language of the domain? With Marten, a .NET library built on PostgreSQL’s JSON capabilities, you can build fully event-sourced systems using familiar tools. This talk introduces the fundamentals of Event Sourcing — streams, events, aggregates, projections, and more — and shows how Marten turns Postgres into a powerful event store. You’ll see how modeling events helps to capture business intent and brings the domain into your code in a demo.
