Welcome:
This group is primarily for those people who are 50 and over.
Who enjoy social get-togethers and making new friends.
The purpose of this group is that people are able to attend events on their own, and not feel uncomfortable.
Giving the opportunity for new members to make new friends, and maybe make ever lasting friendships.
Our group is friendly and very welcoming to new members, so please don't hesitate in attending future event's alone.
Events will be held occasionally in the CBD, Fitzroy, Preston areas right up to the surrounding suburbs of Whittlesea such as Millpark.
You will have the opportunity to participate and enjoy all types of venues in the Northern Suburbs.
Including venues that offer entertainment, while dining in the company of others.
We welcome any feedback, suggestions and ideas for fun and interesting things to do, or places to go and visit.
If you would like to organize and host an event, everyone will have the opportunity if you are interested in doing so.
We want you to feel comfortable when attending an event, this is why we request that everyone's profile has a recent, clear and recognizable headshot of just yourself.
Member requirements and code of conduct:
1. All members must have a name and a recent, unfiltered, clear and recognizable photo of themselves.
2. Bullying will not be tolerated, whether it be in person or by messaging, directly or indirectly. Members who act in an anti-social manner will be removed from the group.
3. Please do not use this group as a pick-up site. We are an in-person social group for people who want to meet other people In Real Life. Any reported unsolicited and unwelcome messaging will be taken seriously and depending on the nature of the of the contact, may result in the offender being removed from the group.
If you are the recipient of any unsolicited and unwanted attention, please don’t hesitate to contact the Organizer.
4. No-shows are a ‘no no’. There may also be wait-listers that are denied the opportunity to participate, and therefore we would like to give everyone the opportunity to attend an event.
- Please be mindful in changing your RSVP if you can't no longer attend an event.
- If it is less than 6 hours to starting time, you should message the event or the organizer in advising them that you will be late, or if you can no longer attend the Avent.
Depending on the circumstances, failing to do so more than 3 times, may result your being removed from this group, and your welcome to re-join in 6 month's time.
