Mountain biking in the beautiful Sherwood Forest. It's a pretty good setup there with bike hire, food, toilets and loads of parking.
Duration of ride 3hours. You can hire a mountain bike there for no more than three hours for 35 pounds but you cannot pre book.

Parking is charged so it's best to share transportation

The plan is to ride The Outlaw Trail. It's graded red (difficult) but there's nothing too scary, and I did this myself without going Mountain biking ever before.. and if you HAVE done a bit of mountain biking before then you should get round it without much trouble. we will stay together and regroup on each run to keep it social and make sure people don't get left behind.We'll take it slow anyway. We'll do the loop and then grab lunch afterwards at the cafe.

Please wear a bike helmet, and do take it steady if you're not a confident rider as we don't want any serious mishaps. Carry at least a litre of water plus some snacks

Please note: events can be quite boggy (especially this time of year).Plese bring suitable footwear and clothing.
We really encourage carpooling so that we can keep car numbers down both for the environment and the carparks. It's also a great way to get to know some people.
Please make sure to bring:
• Sturdy, waterproof shoes. It can get very muddy and slippy
•Waterproof clothing, it is England after all
•Warm/cold weather layers. Prepare for all weather
•Enough water for the duration of the walk
•Lunch and snacks as needed. There won't often be places to buy things en route
Etiquette - If you can no longer attend the event, please remember to cancel yours and / or your guests rsvp as we often have people on the waiting list and it means we won't wait around for you either
