Tomoko Ohno began playing piano at the age of four and became a fixture of the Tokyo jazz scene when she was a teenager. Since then she has played in some of the most prestigious music venues on the East Coast (Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Blue Note, Birldand) with some of the biggest names in jazz (Joe Henderson, Benny Golson, Wynton Marselis, Slide Hampton). Tomoko will be performing “The Sounds of Brazil” , a repertoire that explores her deep love of Latin Jazz.
