Wild Wednesday in the Wissahickon. 6+ miles EDventure.....

** 6:15pm SHARP starting time!**

This weeks night hike will take us on an adventure through the Wissahickon. One of those expect the unexpected hikes....IYKYK We will be moving at a pace of 3.3- 3.7 mph covering ??? miles with about ??? feet of elevation. This is a night off of planning for me, so we will go with the wicked and wild on the fly route that appears in my head as we wind through the mighty WISSAHICKON.....Don't worry, we will be done before daybreak......(if you are the literal type, check the end time as I am only kidding.....I will "release" you well before sunrise)

Some hiking translations for new folks:

1. Exploration: I really have no idea where the trails are and we may wind up lost in Timbuktu
2. Adventure: I know the trails and want to spice things up
3. Special Ed adventure: I want to add spice to the spice

THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER HIKE AND IS MORE FITNESS ORIENTED, but you will NEVER be required to hike above your ability and can drop at anytime.

NOTE: We do our best to stick together and look out for one another. But if you are struggling and way off the main pack of hikers, you may need to find your way back to car. Best to have a buddy if you are unsure.

Gear required: hiking footwear as there will be plenty of rocks and roots. Water as needed and headlamp.

Light rain or shine event. Heavy rain or storms will cancel.

PARKING AND MEETING LOCATION: We will meet at the corner of Brierdale Rd and Cathedral Rd, side closest to the shopping center parking lot (see Meetup location Pin). There is parking on plenty of parking on Cathedral Rd
