Description:
Rated as one of the most strenuous hikes in New Jersey, the 10 mile Stonetown Circular loop in Ringwood, NJ climbs five mountains – Windbeam, Bear, Board, Harrison Mountains, and Tory Rocks and offers a great workout and plenty of views of the Wanaque and Monksville Reservoirs.
There are great views and we may even be sharing those views with bears, so be prepared.
If you are new to the group and/or never hike with us before, please be prepared for a swift pace and a constant flow to the hike. We do not stop on the climbs, but will "pause" at top when needed to regroup.
There will be some brief stops at worthy viewpoints for pictures, etc...:)
