* New Date*HAWK Mountain and OWLS HEAD rock climb 12 miles, 3,100'-take 2!

Details
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY and ENTIRELY......
NOT YOUR TYPICAL HAWK MOUNTAIN HIKE! CHALLENGING HIKE WITH 2 NOTABLE STEEP CLIMBS, ROCK SCRAMBLES AND ROCKY TERRAIN.
We will start by climbing Owls Head. This is a steep climb and then there is a rock scramble to the top. Last time we had to stop at base of rocks due to wet conditions. This time will be dry (hear that Mother Nature), so we will make it to the top! This first climb is an up and down climb. STEEP, but doable climb.
From Owls Head we will traipse over to Hawk Mountain, which is known for it's scenic overlooks and various birds of prey flying around. This is a VERY ROCKY trail with various ROCK SCRAMBLING CLIMBS. NOT FOR BEGINNERS. Please be comfortable with rocky and slippery conditions. New to this hike is the Golden Eagle Trail climb. Roughly 800 feet of vertical.
If these conditions don't scare you and you enjoy a challenging hike, then this is for you! We will cover cover 12 miles with about 3,100 feet of elevation.
Other then short pauses, plan to keep moving. We will stop at top of Owls Head climb and break at the North Overlook at Hawk Mountain for quick lunch.
End time is best estimate based on hike conditions. Very rocky, so not able to get my usual 3.5mph average....lol....but seriously, the rocks will slow us down.
Due to the amount of rocks, this is a "fair" weather hike. Rain, snow or ice will cancel.
