The Father (2020) was the 2nd most popular movie on our voted upon watch list.
Starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman, it's a French–British co-production that was nominated for 6 Oscars and won 2 including Best Actor for Hopkins.🏆🏆 Since then, it's been cited as one of the best films of the 2020s.
It's currently streaming for free on SBS On Demand. 🙌
Meeting
As always, I’ll be getting to Johnny Fox's just before 6:00pm to sort out my food and drink and welcome everyone who wishes to do the same. For those who do, it's a great way to get to know other members and share what other movies are being watched.
I'll look to give a brief introduction at around 6:30pm after which we'll start discussions on the movie in small groups. Conduct to keep in mind during the discussions, and thought pieces to consider in advance of them, are in the links below.

Around 8:30pm we'll rejoin as a group to share each table's average score out of 10 and have people share their eye openings with the aim of being finished by 9:00pm.
We’ll have the room till 10:00pm and the venue closes at 1:00am so there'll be plenty of time to continue socialising for those who wish to. I usually have a sit down drink at the end and am happy to be joined for it. 🥃

Given we're comparing our scores to those on IMDB, please try to avoid looking at them before landing on yours so as not to be biased. Also, if you’ve seen the movie before, please rewatch it as memories are unreliable and opinions change.
