Perth Film Lovers

Whilst the wait for many of us has been long I know, so too has the effort to make these opening events great ones. So with this, I’m very happy to announce that:

The first two events of Perth Film Lovers will be held on Thursday the 30th of April and Friday the 1st of May, 2026. Both nights are the same event at different venues so just come along to whichever best suits you. Note too, these are premiering social events to celebrate the formation of the club. The film chats going forwards will be much more casual.

Attendees are welcome to start mingling from 5:45pm with the “formal” part of the evening commencing at around 6:30pm. Dinner and/or drinks for those who like to chat over them like me will be available for purchase at the main bar. I’m expecting games will conclude around 9pm but for those who wish to stay after, I'm sure you won't be alone.

The primary purpose of this auspicious event will be to assemble the club’s watchlist for the year in the most entertaining way I could image. It’ll be a dynamic night with visual displays, pop quizzes and prizes. George Clooney will be there and there’ll be a secret envelope opened at the end.

So if you’re one who really loves their movies, wishes to have a say on how their club will operate and is prepared to have a lot of fun, this is an event not to be missed.
