## September Book Club: The Uncool by Cameron Crowe

Hi everyone,

For our September book club, we’ll be discussing Cameron Crowe’s recently released memoir, The Uncool.
Before becoming an acclaimed filmmaker, Crowe was a teenage rock ’n’ roll journalist for Rolling Stone.

His remarkable experiences touring with and interviewing some of the biggest musicians of the 1970s later inspired his Oscar-winning film, Almost Famous.
Crowe also wrote and directed films including Jerry Maguire, Vanilla Sky, Elizabethtown and Say Anything.
Published in October 2025, The Uncool explores Crowe’s extraordinary journey through music, journalism, filmmaking and the people who shaped his life.
