**ROUTE---->thru Pleasanton...then Stanley to Livermore (coffee at Panama Bay Coffee/Livermore-First St)**Return to Pleasanton (Vineyard) & have LUNCH at Sidetrack!!
*Defining the Fall Quarter of the year is the Pedaler Halloween Ride thru downtown Pleasanton and Livermore!
**The Alden Lane Nursery apple season is almost over. The grape harvest is finishing. The sun's arc is lower each day. Many trees are showing spectacular fall colors. The morning's chill will soon require "long finger" gloves. Goblins, ghosts, witches, demons, skeletons (small-large-gigantic) have risen from the depths underground and are making their annual appearance. They remind us that many, many cultures recognize October 31 as a critical junction between this year and the next.
***So...Pedalers...participate in this annual ritual. Decorate your body (and your bike?) so that as we cycle past those nether-world creatures will let us pass.
Ride "sweep" will facilitate keeping all on course. Ride will re-group as necessary. Cycling etiquette essential. Pleasanton Senior Center open - bathrooms & water available.
Attendees are limited to 30 who have signed for the ride in advance. Please be sure to bring your helmet, water and a spare tube. No SAG cars provided.
