**On September 24th, we are asking everyone with a “special” bike jersey that has a particular interesting memory to wear it, and meet us at the Daily Grind Coffee Cafe at the Livermore Library (1188 S. Livermore Ave – Livermore).

*****Cyclists meet at 8:30am at the Pleasanton Senior Center, leaving at 8:45am.

****Summer in the TriValley has “officially” closed---Fall Equinox occurred on September 22. Pedalers now must prepare for the upcoming months—shorter days…longer nights...cooler mornings. Cultures around the world recognize this event. As an anthropologist, I cannot let this moment pass. Halloween...Children dressed as goblins/ghosts/witches ..."All Saint's Day"... Druids gathering at the Stones...mark this seasonal change. why not cyclists?

******Every Pedaler rides with a chosen (specifically chosen) cycling jersey…most often the jersey is an integral part of that day’s ride or a past riding experience. If you “look” closely…if you “listen” closely…you can see and hear the jersey telling a “story.”
*******As Summer yields to Fall, Pedalers will mark the pending changes with a coda—a special coda---that they will share…and tell… a tale!
********So…Pleasanton Pedalers…carefully select that jersey. Wear it on the ride or when you join us at the Daily Grind.

Stories to be shared at the Livermore Library Daily Grind Cafe.

**Bring your helmet, tube, and water. We anticipate 'clothing adjustment stops' along the way. Restrooms are available at the start (Pleasanton Senior Center).

**The Ride Sweep will ensure that the group remains together. This is a "NO DROP" ride and is e-bike friendly. Cycling etiquette is essential. No SAG cars provided.

**Pedaler Hosts will do their best to accurately (and appropriately) use adjectives like "mellow...affable" when describing the weekly Thursday rides.
Attendees are limited to 30 who have signed for the ride in advance.

The Tuesday morning ride will be a bit longer and faster than our Thursday Social Ride. The route will change each week. Plan on 15 mph on the flats and 30-40 miles in length, approximately 1,000-1500 feet of climbing.

The ride will be limited to riders who have signed up for the ride in advance. Plan to leave promptly at the start time noted in the calendar event. Start time may be adjusted based on weather conditions. Please be sure to bring your helmet (REQUIRED), water, spare tube(s) with pump/CO2, some food, and a willingness to push yourself a little further. No SAG cars provided.
