Walk the Working Waterfront (Portland)

Details

Meet us at Walk the Working Waterfront at 11am outside the Gulf of Maine Research Institute. We'll plan on joining a free historic walking tour and walk some of the pier sights.

This is an annual event. "Walk the Working Waterfront (WTWW) is an interactive event in downtown Portland, Maine celebrating the city's rich maritime culture and history. Attendees are encourages to explore the many working piers and wharves, tour vessels, and chat with fishermen. The mission of WTWW is to increase awareness of the critical importance of working waterfront infrastructure by creating behind the scenes access and first-hand experiences for community members with the businesses and operators of Portland’s working waterfront." Here is an FAQ.

I'll post updates in the comments so keep an eye out for those notifications. WTWW is rain or shine, but if it's super rainy we'll play it by ear. Stay home if you're feeling ill or exposed to someone sick.
