A moderately challenging walk with a total elevation gain of 600 meters. This great hike starts at the historic Steiglitz Historic Park which is now a bit of a ghost town but still has lots of remnants of the 1880s gold rush including the court house and a couple of the original shops.
From there we head straight into the Brisbane Ranges National Park with trails that pass through a beautiful diverse range of scenery and fauna.

This national park is little more than an hour's drive from Melbourne takes you to the state's richest wildflower habitat and hopefully a chance to see some great wildlife.
A lot of the walk is on fire trail but in places the track narrows and is a little overgrown but nothing too challenging.
