For our last hike on the island we will do the short but interesting hike through the Kelly Hill Conservation Area and Cape Bouguer Wilderness Area.
Much of the region was burnt during the January 2020 fires and it's interesting to see how the native vegetation has recovered from the devastating event.
We will pass through the lagoon areas which are normally dry but surrounded by lush growth. We will also have a quick stop at the Tea Tree Campsite before we head down to the coast.
Then its just following the track back the way we came to the car park.
We may get a chance to see the caves but this is yet to be confirmed.
