Managing a crisis, and The Evolving Role of the Product Manager
Kings Arms , 40 Holywell Street, Oxford, GBAs winter nights draw in, we're back with another gathering of the finest Product minds in Oxford, for great talks and networking opportunities in a cosy and welcoming environment.
We're delighted to welcome this month's guest speakers, Nadine Matthews, Product Manager at the UK hydrographic Office, and Marc Abraham, one of the most accomplished Product leaders in the UK, and a linchpin of the European Product community for over 10 years.
Nadine is a Product Manager at the UK Hydrographic Office, where she manages the world’s leading official digital maritime chart service, supporting safe and efficient navigation for vessels worldwide. With over six years at the UKHO, Nadine has extensive experience in digital product management, online publishing, and marketing. Her background includes roles in content strategy, SEO, and audience engagement across media and non-profit sectors, building on earlier work in digital communications and fashion promotion.
Nadine's talk, When it's all going to s**t, reflects on a particularly challenging recent project, and highlights the importance of staying connected to your goals and the customer need when working on fast moving projects.
Marc is an experienced product management practitioner, currently working as an interim Head of Product (SaaS) at Treatwell. Marc has worked for a large number of successful digital organisations, from startups to more established businesses (e.g. Asos, WorldFirst, Backbase and Intercom) and has written about his product management learnings in his books, "My Product Management Toolkit" and "Managing Product = Managing Tension", as well as at https://marcabraham.com/.
Marc's talk, The Evolving Role of the Product Manager, will review the impact of AI on our roles as PMs, the changes we can expect as a result, and the elements that will endure throughout this turbulent period.
As always, doors open at 6pm, with talks kicking off at around 6:45pm. The event will finish no later than 9pm, but attendees are welcome to stay for food, drink, and good conversation, right through to last orders!
