What we'll do:
This event will feature the following presentations:
Talk #1: Shipping a Python Library Written in Rust
Speaker: Sam Lijin
Description: We ship a Python library & code generator from our (mostly) Rust codebase to our users - I plan to talk about, in broad strokes, things that we found out worked (low rate of bugs!) and do not work (e.g. pickle compatibility is... a challenge).
Lightning talk: DRY not parched: When DRY code becomes too dry
Speaker: Will Migdol
Description: Recently when working on a project, I tried to write my code to be as optimal as possible to be DRY. The issue was that by doing this, I overengineered a lot of the code to be more DRY then it needed to be which increased a lot of the techdebt in my codebase. I would like to give a talk about when DRY is good and when simpler solutions can be better.
Talk #2: Documentation is Code (with Agentic AI)
Speaker: Yason Khaburzaniya
Description: What if you could build software by typing up the requirements without writing any code? What if you could program your own AI assistants using nothing but your native language? In this presentation, we will introduce a new way to turn natural language into an application. Moving beyond the limitations of traditional No-Code platforms, we explore a revolutionary approach: Documentation is Code (DisC). DisC paves the way for billions of people to build billions of solutions—without ever writing a single line of code.
