This group is for everyone passionate about the Python programming language and its amazing community! Whether you're here to learn, teach, share experiences, or simply enjoy the company of like-minded individuals, Py.Amsterdam is the place for you.
Our Meetup is organized by the community, for the community.
Our events are conducted in English.
Py.Amsterdam is part of the Python Software Foundation's Meetup network, and we adhere to their principles of fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Whether you're a Python newbie, an experienced developer, or simply curious about what Python can do, come join us and be part of our thriving community!
We prioritize the local community and building a space for it to get together. That means we will always try to prioritize local speakers and share time together over getting some "star invites." The meetup can be a great place to practice your talks before proposing them to EuroPython or other community conferences.
We are also open to social events or workshops. You just have to want to organize one! :)

Building my own (accurate!) Spotify Wrapped
Wrapped has become one of the most widely anticipated data analytics dashboards of the year. But what happens when the results aren't as complex (or accurate) as people were expecting? Data scientists come in to save the day!
Using elasticsearch and kibana I will be creating my own musical trends and insights using the user generated data - that you can also download and follow along with!
From queries, filters, and aggregations to visualizations, time series analysis, and brat summer - we will explore how search analytics can be used for every day cases.Iulia Feroli - After working on many sides of tech I’ve finally found my perfect match as a developer advocate at Elastic - focusing on creating content for, and learning from the tech community. I specialise in data science & AI solutions and love creating videos, blogs, demos and sessions to get people excited about the possibilities of tech. I love to talk about anything NLP, cloud, data science 101, MLOPs, generative AI, and more.
