Python Adelaide is a group for anybody interested in the Python Programming Language, who happen to be geographically located in close proximity to Adelaide. We'll be featuring talks from local members of the Python community and it's a great way to network, learn and make some new friends. We aim to be an inclusive group that is comfortable for people of all skill levels, age and gender.

Robotics in Python
The University of Adelaide, Adelaide, SA, AUHi Adelaide Pythonistas,
I am excited to announce May 2026 meeting!!
A whirlwind tour of the array of tools for robotics development available in Python, from MicroPython to the Robot Operating System (ROS) to autonomous mapping and navigation with Nav2 and SLAM. Best of all, many of these tools can run in simulated environments without real hardware, enabling you to follow along at home!

Cleo Kent : Cleo Kent is currently in her final year of studying computer science at Adelaide University. She is currently the Adelaide Rover Team’s software lead, developing a semi-autonomous lunar rover to compete in the Australian Rover Challenge. In her spare time, she co-leads the Adelaide node of Girls Programming Network, an organisation for female and gender-diverse tech enthusiasts, delivering free programming workshops for high school students and building networks for those studying or working in the industry.
