Rainbow Humanists New Directions Meeting

Attention Rainbow Atheists,

You are invited to attend a ZOOM meeting to discuss our future aims, directions and maybe even our name.

Do we want to start regular coffee mornings or meetings or activism? An argument could be made that given current attacks against lgbt civil rights around the world, often by religious regimes, an atheist or secular group like ours is important to add a voice.

This might be seen as particularly significant given that 70% of the Aussie LGBT+ community self identifies as non-religious, yet the queer press and community networks privilege religious queers.

It is also significant that next year marks the 60th anniversary since humanists in Australia began the earliest known gay rights reform protest movement.

Do we want to re-energise and reboot as an activist or social group, or do we want to stay predominantly a Facebook group only?
