Defiant TTRPG - Episode 1

The Apocalypse has finally come… and has been rejected.

Heaven's edicts were ignored by a cadre of Angels, Devils, ancient Gods, and primordial Monsters. They denied the end times, seized the shattered remnants of our world, and forged a new Domain of power. Here, these self-proclaimed Royals rule fractured Courts under the weight of divine wrath. But can such creatures coexist?​

In Defiant, every player character begins as a powerful Lord or Lady, in charge of their own Holdings (e.g., luxury clubs, occult temples, gleaming towers, or whole neighborhoods) staffed by loyal Courtiers and servants. You are part of the supernatural aristocracy, feared and revered, balancing the expectations of your Court, the demands of the Domain, and the fallout of your own ambitions.​

Your character also begins the game in an arranged marriage, with a spouse who is as politically significant as they are emotionally volatile. That spouse shares your status and power, and the relationship can be a love story, a cold alliance, a source of betrayal, or all three at once.​​

This is the setting of Defiant, a game of courtly intrigue, supernatural drama, and high-society rebellion, where you embody godlike rebels who chose hedonism, luxury, and power over obedience and obligation. Think American Gods mixed with Houses of the Blooded.

Note: Although I am willing to add more players, you are going to have to meet with me at least an hour before the event begins to make a character. It is a significant undertaking.

Sessions: Four total in this campaign - 12/7, 12/21. 1/4/26, and 1/18/26. All are Sundays, 3:30pm to 7pm, at a residence in La Mesa.
