Mother Miguel Mountain/Rock House Trail

Let's get our morning cardio by hiking the Rock House Trail. This hike is 4.1 miles (round trip from trailhead to the flag on top of the Mountain and back to the trailhead). The trail is heavily trafficked (rocky) located in the east side of Chula Vista.

There is no shade, rapid elevation change, very steep in some areas, loose rocks and sand. This hike is dog friendly and offers great views of Chula Vista, Bonita, Sweetwater Reservoir, Coronado, downtown San Diego, the Pacific Ocean and San Miguel Mountains.

Elevation Gain/loss +/-951 ft.

Difficulty: Moderate

Mother Miguel peak 1513 ft.

Trailhead 562 ft.

We will meet at 7:50 a.m. and start hiking at 8:00 a.m. Meet at the trailhead entrance next to 2345 Paseo Los Gatos and Paseo Veracruz, Chula Vista, CA 91910

• Wear appropriate hiking gear (raincoat, and good hiking shoes)
• Remember to bring sunglasses, hats and sunscreen.
