Train an AI Model to Recognize Custom Objects
Details
Object recognition frameworks, like Apple’s Vision Framework, work well for recognizing common objects in images that everyone knows about...
However, what if you need to recognize custom or niche objects? Maybe they’re objects that have a high degree of domain-level expertise: names of fitness poses or exotic foods, etc. The models are only as good as the data they’re trained on, so if it’s data only you or a few people know, they won’t exist in the default frameworks.
In this meetup, we’ll dive into the CreateML framework to learn how to train a custom object recognizer that uses your domain-level expertise and definitions.
I'm going to record this for YouTube, but will have the camera setup so that you can stay private.

It will take place in the Seminar Room at the La Jolla Riford Libary for 1.5 hours which has a capacity of 40 people. There is parking lot at the library and parking on the street in the surrounding area.
Everyone interested is welcome: app developers, business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors. The idea is to grow this group to be a great networking hub where people can meet each other for projects and/or friendships.
