Uke ABBA Sing Along @ S.D. Balboa Park Swedish Midsummer Solstice Celebration

SUNDAY, JUNE 22, 2025, HAU OLI STRUMMERS ON STAGE at the annual Midsummer Celebration outside the HOUSE OF SWEDEN by the INTERNATIONAL COTTAGES in BALBOA PARK, San Diego.

Wear your Swedish BLUE & YELLOW and come early to get set up. The Stage Performance starts at 2pm with a Swedish Flag Procession followed immediately by HAU OLI STRUMMERS UKULELE CLUB** playing hit songs by Swedish pop group ABBA. (See links to music SETLIST BELOW)

After the music there will be some amazingly popular Swedish Maypole Dances to celebrate the summer solstice Swedish-style as well as Swedish meatballs with lingon, pickled cucumber and bread, available at the House of Sweden from Noon to 4pm.

BRING YOUR UKE and a MUSIC STAND. An iPad/tablet is preferred, but we will try to have paper printouts (and clothes pins so they don't blow away).

We recommend you try to ARRIVE at Balboa Park BY 12:30-1 PM to allow time to park and shuttle or walk to the House of Sweden and get tuned and set up with your ukulele and music.

PARKING behind the Organ Pavilion or the adjacent parking lot, OR even easier is across Park Blvd by the old Navy Hospital and walk or take the Balboa Park Shuttle.
