Peter from the Sunday meetups is inviting the club to join in on BBQ, mahjong, and other fun at his home in Kitsap County!
Food and drinks will be provided; hamburgers, veggie burgers, hotdogs, and sides (probably potato and pasta salads). Sodas, iced teas, beers and seltzers as well. There will be a propane grill available if you would like to bring anything to cook.
We have space for up to 4 mahjong tables depending on attendance. I have two sets at the house, if anyone would like to bring tiles and a junk mat it would be appreciated.
There’s lots of room for parking, big yard for lawn games, a fire pit, no neighbors!
Here are all the details for taking the ferry over from Seattle, either by walk-on or driving:
Taking the Washington State Ferry

- Ferry leaves at 10am from Seattle, takes 1 hour to cross. Ferries back to Seattle at 4:15pm or 6:40pm
- Walk-on costs $9.85 from Seattle to Bremerton, free on the way back. Can use Orca card or buy a ticket at terminal.
- Car under 14’ length and driver is $35 round trip ($17.50 each way). $9.85 per car passenger from Seattle only.
Taking the Kitsap Fast Ferry

- Ferry leaves at 11:30am from Seattle, takes 30 minutes to cross. Ferries back to Seattle at 5:10pm or 6:30pm
- Walk-on only. $12 round trip ($10 leaving Seattle, $2 leaving Bremerton). Can use Orca card or pay cash before boarding.

From Bremerton to BBQ, Peter and Matt will come pick up anyone who isn’t carpooling and drive up to our house, about 15 minutes. Can also drive everyone back to make the ferry home. We have 2 cars, can fit 4 people per car, and can do multiple trips if needed.
If you are driving and able to carpool, leave a comment with how many spots you have and we will arrange rides.
