Please join us as we welcome Jasmin Faulk live at the Secular Hub!

In this eye-opening talk, Jasmin Faulk shares her personal story of growing up as a woman in Saudi Arabia during one of the most extreme periods of Islamic rule in the country and region’s history. Through her lived experience, Jasmin sheds light on the harsh realities faced by women and young girls under religious authoritarianism—realities often ignored or downplayed in Western discourse. She challenges the West’s tendency to romanticize Islam as a religion of the oppressed, while overlooking the brutal impact of its most radical and institutionalized practices. This talk confronts the uncomfortable truths about cultural relativism, misplaced solidarity, and the global consequences of looking away.

The doors will open at 5:30 PM, and the talk will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by a Q&A period and book signing. Books will be available for sale.
