About us
This is an online mental health, support and recovery group, ran by a licensed mental health provider, intended on building community, while discovering our truer selves to build agency while intentionally developing a fulfilling life of our choosing.
Groups will consist of a variety of psychoeducation topics for discussion and processing groups. For psychoed groups, I will have a specific presentation for discussion with the intention and hope for participation from attendees.
Processing groups will have a less regimented format where you will have a safe space to openly discuss what may be on your mind.

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs & Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's)
·OnlineOnlineAdverse Childhood Experiences or ACE's was a series of longitudinal studies, or studies that followed over 50,000 individuals for several decades, resulting in the development of a questionnaire regarding certain markers for childhood abuse, neglect and uncertainty resulting in patterns that largely dictated an individual's future, if not correctly addressed. That is what we will discuss as we explore the history, application and solutions to overcoming our own individual ACE's.
Along the lines of ACE's, we will also tie in the concept of Maslow's Hierarchy of needs, as we discuss how these two concepts are inexorably intertwined.
If you would like to get ahead on things, here is an article regarding the background of ACE's and some of the negative corollaries with higher ACE scores.

Attachment Theory- How our childhood paves the path for future relationships.
·OnlineOnlineHave you ever asked yourself, why do I continually find the same relationships over and over again? Has it ever struck you as odd, that you found yourself with someone very similar to one or both of your parents?
That is what we will discuss as we review Attachment Theory and it's application.
Attachment Theory posits the manner in which we see the world largely is the result of the household we were raised and is based off an impressive body of research spanning nearly 5 decades.
