Reopened after a long closure beginning of 2025, Alfred Schilling’s
Seal Rock Inn Restaurant gets French inspired.

The Sunday before everyone jets out to Christmas with family, join us for a lazy brunch and then possibly on your own enjoy the views at Lands End. Bring hat, possibly umbrella, and good hiking shoes for a hike along GGNRA.

Chef’s amazing transformation of the essentially abandoned café at Seal Rock Inn to a world class Bistro Parisienne. From the now gleaming kitchen, restored mid-century modern atmosphere, and elegant décor and furnishings, the restored café now serves as the palette on which he presents his creations.
Bringing all his extraordinary experience to bear-from line chef at famous Parisian restaurants in his youth, to chef de cuisine at many restaurants, teacher at Cordon Bleu USA, followed by management at Trader Vic’s as global executive chef and then founding and managing chocolatier Alfred Schilling & Company in San Francisco for many years-Chef is now bringing all this experience and love of la vie de cuisine to this extraordinary bistro overlooking the Pacific and the grand entrance to the Golden Gate.

Taxes and Fees

Dining in San Francisco has a sales tax (8.625%) and possibly an employee health mandate (5%), a tip (20%) may be automatically added because of the size of our party, even on individual bills. I usually add ~35% to each raw bill adding individual dishes, which should include all of these, and round final payment to the closest dollar.

Please bring cash, Apple Cash, or use Zelle.
