At some point, many divers have found themselves alone during a dive, whether intentionally or not. SDI's Solo Diving is the practice of self-reliant scuba diving without a "dive buddy." Instead of relying on the traditional buddy diving safety system, solo divers are trained to be self-sufficient and responsible for their own safety while diving.
The SDI Solo Diver Course is designed for experienced divers wishing to enhance their underwater independence. We have limited spots for this special dive day, so sign up early! Join us for this special day as we explore the premier Pacific Northwest dive site - Sund Rock. Designated a conservation area on Washington's Hood Canal. The area is known for abundant and diverse life, including giant Lingcod, Giant Pacific Octopus, Wolf Eel, as well as nudibranchs, and so much more.

When you enter the park you will need to pay an entry fee of $25 at the gate. We will meet at the site at 10 am with our first dive at 11 am.

This course is intended to teach emergency oxygen (O2) administration. This program covers equipment and procedures for administrating oxygen as an emergency procedure. Equipment selection and use for decompression illness emergencies are detailed with practical components to train a well-rounded rescuer.

Join us for the SDI Search & Recovery Diver Specialty and learn how professional search methods can dramatically improve your effectiveness underwater.
During this course you'll learn:
• Search planning and organization
• Compass and natural navigation techniques
• Circular, grid, and expanding search patterns
• Team communication and search procedures
• Limited visibility search techniques
• Lift bag and recovery methods
• Knots, rigging, and object recovery skills
• Real-world problem solving and underwater task management

This is one of the most practical specialty courses a diver can take. You'll develop skills that make you a more confident diver while learning techniques that can be applied on recreational dives, dive charters, club events, and real-world recovery situations.

Expect a hands-on course with plenty of in-water practice. By the end of the training, you'll have planned and executed multiple search patterns, located targets underwater, and recovered objects using proper recovery techniques.
