🎬 Laughs, Local Finds & Good Times with Friends – Pomona's got it all - heritage charm, a 1920s silent film theatre, country markets, a railway gallery, and a mellow mead stop to wrap it up! Let's step into a day unlike any other - where old world charm meets good company and a few surprises along the way.
Our adventure takes us north to the Sunshine Coast hinterland, where the real star of the show is the Majestic Theatre in Pomona - a vintage gem that's been delighting audiences since the 1920's. During WWII, it screened films six nights a week for Australian and American troops, with locals queuing up outside (and sometimes even hurling tomatoes if they missed out on a seat!) Today, it's the only theatre in the world that still screens silent films with live musical accompaniment, just as they did a century ago.
The perfect day to step away from the usual and enjoy something truly unique - with friends and a touch of vintage flair.

- 7.05 am - Eagleby private residence for off-street parking - please have $7 ready on the day for our kind resident) - return appx 6pm

- 8.50 am - McDonalds, 493 Pumicestone Rd, Caboolture (we'll also enjoy a cuppa together here) - return appx 4.10 pm

• 🧺 Pomona Country Markets (1 hour) - We'll start with a wander through Pomona's relaxing local country markets. Great spot to grab a market lunch to bring into the theatre (no alcohol or coffee allowed inside the theatre, but food is welcome) ✔

Just a 5-minute stroll from the theatre is this quaint little gallery in a heritage-listed station, sharing works from talented local artists
🌿 Final Stop - A Local Gem with a Twist - Amrita Park Meadery ✔
To wrap up our day, we'll stop in at Amrita Park Meadery - a small, peaceful spot in the hills with a lovely local feel. You don't have to be a mead lover to enjoy this one - there's also a lovely range of honey products fresh from their own bee hives to check out. It's a relaxed visit where you can try a tasting if you're curious, have a chat with the friendly owners, or just enjoy the surroundings and stretch your legs before our scenic drive back - always more fun with good company on board.
