Two unforgettable weeks discovering the best of Tasmania -from hidden gems to iconic highlights. With return flights, great stays, and 15 top-rated 3rd party guided experiences, we'll journey together in our Hiace for a relaced, small-group vibe. All personally hosted, with unmatched value and convenience for our members.
✈️ Return flights from Brisbane to Hobart are included.
I'll already be in Tassie with our Hiace, so I’ll be waiting to meet you at Hobart Airport when you land together — all set to kick off our journey !

🌟 Highlights
☕ Let's start with perspective - literally! Our first coffee together comes with a panoramic view at Mount Nelson Signal Station. It's the perfect way to slow down, take it all in, and ease into Tassie time.
🛍️ Soak up the soul of Hobart at Salamanca Market, where we'll browse the stalls, chat with local makers, and feel the pulse of Hobart city. Then, the Red Bus gives us a fun, relaxed overview of Hobart's story - from convict roots to modern-day charm.
🚶‍♀️ Stroll Hobart's historic waterfront on a guided walk with Lisa, whose vivid storytelling brings early colonial life to light. After a relaxed lunch at The Whaler, we visit the Female Factory - an eye opening glimpse into the lives of convict women and their place in Tasmania's layered past.
⛴️ See Hobart from the water as we cruise along the Derwent River to Iron Pot Island with its weathered lighthouse that once guided Tasmania's earliest mariners through treacherous waters..
🌲 Be moved by craftsmanship and quiet beauty at 'The Wall in the Wilderness' - a powerful carved tribute to Tasmania's pioneers. Then, we stretch our legs at Nelson Falls, where nature's calm really settles the soul.
🥂 Let nature and luxury meet on the Gordon River Cruise. While the views drift by, we'll hear local stories, walk through ancient forest, and enjoy a chef-prepared lunch onboard. A real Tassie treat.
🎭 Get a dose of laughter and local flair at "The Ship That Never Was". This beloved little theatre show is a quirky and clever way to learn about Tasmania's convict history - with a giggle or two guaranteed.
🚂 Ride in style through Tasmania's wild heart aboard the West Coast Wilderness Railway. We'll travel in the premium Wilderness Carriage - complete with a glass of sparkling wine or OJ, tasty canapes, and a light meal service as we wind through lush rainforest and rugged terrain. There's even a balcony on board - perfect for capturing those magic wilderness shots along the way.
🐧🎨🌳 Delight in Tassie's small towns where creativity blooms. Penguin is as cute as it sounds. Sheffield's murals and Railton's topiary turn everyday walls and hedges into playful stories and art.
🌉🐒 Take in Launceston's natural side at Cataract Gorge, with its dramatic suspension bridge, then explore the City's botanical Gardens where a surprising troop of Japanese monkeys have made themselves at home.
🌌🐧 Feel the magic of twilight as we meet the Little Penguins on a Guided Tour in Low Head. We'll see them waddle ashore under the stars .. simply one of those quiet and unforgettable moments.
🏗🌊🦛 Peek into Tasmania’s aquatic world at Seahorse World and Platypus House—where we observe these curious creatures up close and learn about their unique behaviours. Then it’s off to Beaconsfield Mine for a walk-through of Tasmania’s gold-rush past, complete with stories of courage, discovery, and survival.
🌊🐧 We'll take a wander through Campbell Town’s colonial-era streets, then enjoy a cosy country café lunch before making our way through peaceful farmland to Bicheno. After checking into our seaside accommodation - perfect for a relaxing cuppa with ocean views - we might opt for a classic Fish n Chips dinner right here, with that stunning view as our backdrop!
🏞️🏘️ A relaxed 1.3km return walk to Whalers Lookout Scenic Reserve reveals sweeping views over Bicheno's crescent shaped harbour and the ocean beyond. We pause at the town's famous blowhole, then journey to historic Ross for a wander and the legendary scallop pie! Later, we explore Oatlands' charming Georgian streets before returning to Hobart by evening.
🌊Today's adventure takes us back out into Tasmania's wild side - after a bakery breakfast treat, we make our way to the Tasman Peninsula for an exhilarating 3-hour wilderness cruise. Expect towering cliffs, crashing sea caves, and sea spray as we explore this rugged coastline by boat. Then, back on land, we visit the historic Officers Quarters at Eaglehawk Neck - once the front line of convict containment - then stroll the striking Tessellated Pavement, where nature's geometric design meets the ocean's edge.
🍏 Taste, tour, and cruise our way through the Huon Valley’s rich heritage. We'll begin with a fascinating visit to the Wooden Boat Centre, where traditional craftsmanship and maritime stories are alive and well. Then it’s off to Franks Cider House for a delicious lunch (included), with fresh flavours and crisp apple ciders in a charming, heritage-listed setting.
🛥️Next, we board the beautifully restored 1948 wooden cruiser La Drone for a slow meander down the Huon River. With comfy seating, grazing boards of local produce, and sweeping views of vineyards and the misty Wellington Ranges, it’s the perfect way to relax. From the deck, watch for birds, historic homesteads, and the peaceful riverside town of Franklin, all while our skipper shares colourful local tales. It’s Tasmania at its tastiest and most tranquil.
🌳 After our Huon River cruise, we venture south to the quiet township of Geeveston - a creative little hub known for its quirky timer sculptures and relaxed country charm.
🏛️ Our Final Morning in Richmond. We wrap up our Tasmanian adventure in the charming historic village of Richmond. Enjoy time to explore the beautifully preserved Richmond Gaol, stroll over Australia's oldest stone span Richmond Bridge, or wander through the delightful Old Hobart Town model village, a miniature recreation of 1820s Hobart. It's a relaxed finale to reflect, take photos, and soak in those final Tassie vibes before our farewell lunch and airport transfer.
🌟 Time for one last stroll, a scenic selfie, and perhaps a final debate about who bought the best souvenir. After lunch together, we say goodby to Tassie... but not to the friendships woven along the way.

🍽️ MEALS: The event price includes ✓ three Tassie lunches and ✓ three Tassie dinners—each venue chosen for true Tasmanian flavours. Several café meals en route will be pre-booked, at own cost, and with kitchen facilities in 9 of our 13 stays, we’ll shop local groceries every few days and prepare simple bites ourselves.
This keeps extra costs down while letting us savour a wonderful variety of local eats.
Dietary Requirements: Please share any dietary needs or allergies when you RSVP so I can inform the venues when pre-booking our included meals.
