Salt Lake Oasis Weekly Gathering - Talks, Music, and Great Conversation

Join us this Sunday for "Animal Rights" with Cody Gillette.

Cody Gillette is a kitchen lead, master of ceremonies, and board member for the Utah Animal Rights Coalition. UARC was established in 1999 and is the state's largest animal rights advocacy group. They host many events including Vegan Thanksgiving and Vegfest. They organize protests and pressure campaigns such as their push to have foie gras removed from all restaurants in Salt Lake City. They also run community programs like "Food for Good", which organizes dinner service for at risk youth in Salt Lake City. Cody has been involved with the organization for over 4 years and has been a board member for 2. Cody's goal with UARC is to help create a world where animals are no longer commodities and given bodily autonomy.

In support of UARC and their mission, we're asking you to please consider bringing vegan friendly treats and snacks to share for this week's event.

Come be part of a community of individuals and families who value people more than beliefs. Some have said it's like going to a Ted talk with live music every Sunday. We meet at 11 AM Mountain Time in the Parker Theatre Studio at 3601 State Street, South Salt Lake. We would love to have you join us for some great topics and socializing!
