See Downtown Vinton VA! Walk approx 5 km (3 mi)

Walk scenic and historic downtown Vinton, in Roanoke County. Views of the mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway abound. See quaint murals, the town cemetery, Library and Municipal Building, the Love sign and Veterans Memorial Park. Meet walk host Ellen Harris at 10 am at the McDonald's in Vinton, 809 Hardy Road, just across the street from Kroger. Ellen will be in the parking lot by her car. Afterwards, there are lots of good restaurants to choose from for lunch.
The walk cost is $2 to defray admin expenses, but those wanting AVA walk credit pay $4 total (correct change appreciated). Those willing to do 10 AVA walks will get a free new Walkers Kit, value $21!
