See Roaring Run Rec Area, Botetourt County VA! Walk 5 km (3 mi)

The area is 8 miles northwest of Eagle Rock and features a 19th century iron furnace. Hikers are treated to rustic stone bridges, sheer rock faces and the sound of tumbling water as they walk alongside Roaring Run Creek up to the falls. Trails are easy with relatively little elevation gain. Meet us there, or, to carpool from Westlake, meet walk host Ron Jones at 9 am in front of New York Pizza, 13314 Booker T Washington Hwy
Moneta VA 24121. Ron will be in the parking lot by his car. Afterwards, there are good restaurants in Daleville Town Center to choose from for lunch.
