Meeting at 1030 this walk will be led by James

Start on Pound Ln, Nailsea, Bristol BS48 2NN, outside Ravenswood School.
Parking on the road (not on school premises).

You will need walking boots or wellies. Part of the walk is on some low lying fields, therefore, muddy.

We leave Pound Lane crossing several fields and rhynes to the Church of St Quiricus & St Julietta in Tickenham. The cross the "Monkey Bridge" and more low lying fields to get to Moor Lane in Tickenham. Crossing Clevedon Road then walking up Barrow court to a footpath that ascends steeply for just over 100 metres. To Cadbury Camp Lane west.

Well then proceed eastward passing through Cadbury camp, a 7 acre Iron age hill fort.

Past the fort we'll Cadbury lane becomes a single track road for 1.5 miles that services a series homes along the ridge line. We'll then turn down down a footpath to Clevedon Road crossing onto Tower House lane. After several hundred metres tuning into Towerhouse Wood. Coming out by some fishing ponds at the Base of the hill. Walking the past some ponds and crossing a rhyne into a muddy field with a young solitary lonely looking cow. Coming out on greenfield Crescent. Finally crossing Clevedon Road and following the path back to the start point.

We will end the walk at the secret cafe … which is not so much of a secret now!!!

WEATHER
If bad weather is forecast, the walk will be cancelled the day before.
If the weather is horrendous on the day it will be cancelled on the morning of the walk, by 8:00 am
