La Honda CreekOpen Space with Alice's Restaurant. 9mi 1860 ft elevation gain
Details
This is a longer hike than our standard hike here. We will cover 9.2 miles with 1860 feet of elevation gain thus the 4 hours allotted.
MidPen has just opened some new trails in La Honda Creek Preserve that extend from the previously-open area near the town of La Honda almost up to Skyline. I've done this hike once & it was beautiful.
Starting from near La Honda, we'll head uphill to the new trails. The route is an out-and-back with a tiny lollipop at the top (actually to me it looks like an arrow with a crumpled shaft LOL).

The parking lot is fairly small so carpooling strongly recommended. Arrange carpools: here
After the hike, let's go have lunch at everyone's favorite, Alice's Restaurant @17288 Skyline Blvd, Woodside , CA 94062, where you truly can get anything you want.
The IOPQ this week will be: When making decisions do you rely more on facts or feelings?
ATTENDANCE: If you are signed up for a hike, or on the waitlist, please remove yourself to the "not going " list as soon as you become unsure about attending, so another waitlister can have adequate notice that they are going. Also, it is not okay to just show up to a hike you are not listed as "going" to. Hikers who violate these policies will have that information noted on their permanent record, and their parents may be notified.
DO NOT ATTEND if you're experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, have a compromised immune system, or if you've been exposed to or tested positive for COVID-19.
