It’s not just about languages – it’s about people. Our members are open, curious minds who understand what it means to have more than one home, culture, or identity. Maybe you were born in one country, raised in another, and feel connected to a third – here, that’s completely normal. No one questions it; everyone celebrates it. If this resonates with you, you’ve found your place.
🌍 Who we are:
Stockholm Polyglots is an official non-profit association. The word polyglot comes from the Greek πολύγλωσσος, meaning “a person who speaks many languages.” No matter how many languages you know, you’re welcome here – from beginners to seasoned polyglots, our community embraces everyone!
🌍 What we do:
1. Introduce people to new languages and cultures in an open and friendly atmosphere.
2. Provide opportunities for language practice through multilingual conversations.
🌍 When & Where:
Every second Thursday at Troll bar (Hornsgatan 66b), 19:00–21:30. We offer language tables and presentations by community members on languages and language-related topics.

Stockholm Polyglots was started by Jonatan Haile in February 2024, inspired by attending the Polyglot Gathering each summer. https://www.polyglotgathering.com/2025/en/
What began with a few meetups has grown into a vibrant community united by a love of languages.
