Nestled along the south bank of the Thames, this area is a photographer’s paradise.
More London dazzles with its sleek, modern architecture—think reflective glass buildings, clean lines, and iconic landmarks like The Shard, City Hall, and Tower Bridge.

Just a short stroll east, Shad Thames transports you to another era, with its narrow cobbled streets, historic warehouses, and iron walkways that whisper of London’s industrial past.

Whether you’re drawn to bold cityscapes, gritty textures, candid street scenes, or the interplay of old and new, this walk promises a rich tapestry of creative opportunities. Bring your camera, wear comfortable shoes, and let your curiosity guide you.

After the walk, we’ll gather at a nearby pub to share our experiences, celebrate the launch of the latest edition of our community zine, and thank all the contributors.

Recommendations.
The focus of this walk will be on handheld street photography, so feel free to bring any camera or smartphone—just make sure your batteries are fully charged. Since we’ll be walking, please wear appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. It’s also a good idea to check the TFL website for travel updates before heading out.

Bad weather.
If the weather is less than ideal, the walk will still go ahead.

Experience
No prior experience is necessary—everyone is welcome! While there will be limited time for technical support, I’m happy to offer creative advice during the walk.
