South Mountain- Pima Wash out and back.

3.1 miles with 220’ elevation gain .
An enjoyable 3.1 mile out and back hike with only 220’ of elevation gain through the Pima wash trail for those that are searching for something easier than the typical 5 mile hike. Also a nice short hike for those that are looking to add a little more exercise after their Monday hike

Driving directions to the pima Canyon parking lot at South mountain :
Leave the Cottonwood parking lot to Riggs Road, take a left (east) for 2.5 miles to I-10 and go north towards Phoenix for 9.5 miles to the Elliot Road exit and take a left. Go 1/2 mile to 48 th street. Take a right and go for 1.1 miles to a Y in the road move into the left turn lane to turn onto 48th street, go about one block and turn left on E Pima canyon road. Go past the unmanned guard house and drive up to the main parking lot.
