SSP SATURDAY - Artist Talks and tunnels

Today we will hear from some of the 2024 North Sydney Art Prize finalists as they discuss their work and process.

10:00am meet for coffee at the Grumpy Baker Waverton
10:40am walk to the Coal Loader
10:50am meet inside the Mess Hall.
11:00 talk commences and we will then proceed down to the chambers and tunnels. Approximately 1.5 hours.
12:30pm talk and SSP event concludes

An exciting range of work has been selected by the judges, some of the mediums included are: printmaking, drawing, painting, photography, sculptures, textiles, new media and site specific based installations.

Note: This is a partly outdoor event, dress for the weather, please wear a hat, sunscreen and comfortable shoes. Bring wet weather gear if raining.

Transport

The nearest bus stops to The Coal Loader in Waverton are Bay Rd at Ross St and Bay Rd opp Ross St. The closest one is a 10 min walk away.

Train Travel to Waverton station on the North Shore Line then turn right when you come out of the station an walk. It's approximately 7 minutes walk from Waverton station. There are road signs directing you to Coal Loader.
