As home to the Navy's largest concentration of warships, the base invites the community to "Come onboard" and experience life at sea, see our cutting-edge technology in action and meet the sailors that keep our Navy afloat.

Entry Times:
The 2025 Sydney Navy Open Day is a FREE ticketed event. However, due to the high demand, tickets are required for entry and access will only be provided with a ticket for the allocated timeslot.
Visitors will be able to access the base in three designated timeslots.

• 08:00am - 09:00am
• 09:30am - 10:30am
• 11:00am - 12:00pm

Entry Conditions:
The following conditions of entry apply to all visitors:

• Ticketholders must present a valid ID matching the purchasing name on their tickets for the event (Group tickets will require only one ID which matches the name placed on the ticket)
• No photography is permitted.
• Bag searches will be conducted on entry.
• Visitors must wear flat enclosed shoes as ship tours may involve steep stair wells.
• Navy reserves the right to cancel the event at short notice should the operational circumstances require.

Visitors will be denied entry if any of the above conditions are not adhered to.

Getting Here:
For commuters - disembark at Kings Cross Railway Station (20 minute walk), or take the 311 Bus Cowper Wharf Roadway from the City and Eastern Suburbs.
Entry to the event is via the HMAS Kuttabul Gate 2 at the end of Cowper Wharf Road and the exit will be via HMAS Kuttabul Gate 1 adjacent to Harry's Café de Wheels.
