Take a Hike - Coed hiking group

Join me in getting some exercise after work. Plan to walk about 2.5-3mph (covering 2-3miles) in one hour then be on our way.

Rancho San Antonio County Park & Open Space Preserve offers visitors a unique experience with a sampling of diverse environments, interesting cultural history and a variety of activities. The area features over 25 miles of trail throughout the 3,988-acre open space preserve and adjoining 165-acre county park.

5.4 miles, 700 feet elevation.

Mostly shaded. Restrooms available in the parking lot. Please bring good shoes and water.

RULES:

• The hike will start five minutes after the meet time.
• Stop at all trail junctions. I have not lost anyone yet and I want to keep it that way.
• Do not leave the hike without advising the leader/leaders first.
• Do not hike without water.
• Please leave bad attitudes at home!

The preserve is in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains in South Santa Clara County. A glistening creek runs along the Llagas Meadow and deer, bobcats, mountain lions, and other wildlife roam throughout the preserve. In the spring months, wildflowers adorn the meadow and hillsides.

6.4 mile, 1.1elevation moderate hike.

Mostly oak woodland with some exposed areas and great views from Bald Peak.

After the hike, we are heading over to P&V Winery for some live music. The winery is 15 min from the trailhead. You are allowed to bring food in so bring something to share if you are so inclined.
